What is Plasma?
Plasma is the fourth state of matter. An ionized gas consisting of roughly equal parts positive and negative charged ions.
What are Fibroblasts?
Fibroblasts are a type of cell that contribute to the formation of connective tissue which produce collagen proteins and help maintain the structural framework of our skin’s elasticity.
What is Plasma Fibroblast Resurfacing?
Think of this procedure as lifting and rejuvenating pointillism for skin. A handheld device tipped by a fine applicator is placed one millimeter above skin surface causing a superficial wound. This activates our body’s natural inflammatory response for repair. When the ionized gas comes into contact with our skin’s oxygen and atmospheric nitrogen it creates an electrical arc that vaporizes a micro-point immediately causing contraction and tightening of the skin. Thus the regenerative process is activated creating new skin to produce collage and elastin fibroblasts.
Why choose this service?
With innovative technology constantly rolling out in the beauty industry, and the rise of injectables becoming commonplace, I look at Plasma Fibroblast as a more holistic approach to soft-aging. FAQs
Who can receive plasma fibroblast?
Ideal candidacy are those in optimal health with a complexion that falls between a one and four on the Fitzpatrick scale, which is pale to moderate brown in tone. No pre-existing health conditions or compromised immune system.
who cannot receive plasma fibroblast?
Those prone to keloid scarring, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, and melasma. Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. Those with pre-existing skin conditions (active acne, dermatitis, eczema, open wounds, lupus, psoriasis, vitiligo, moles or birthmarks). Anyone on blood-thinning medication or supplements. Those who are cancer patients going through chemotherapy or radiation. Anyone who has taken Accutane in the last year. Those who use continually use acid-based products or have recently received chemical peels, lasers, derma pens, or explicit sun exposure. Anyone with a pacemaker.
what are the side effects of it?
Plasma Fibroblast triggers our natural inflammatory response system for healing. Side effects include swelling of treated area and slight tingling or tautness similar to a sunburn within the first 24-72 hours after treatment. Gradually it will subside with a visual downtime of roughly 5-10 days for neck and above, and 7-21 days for lower extremities.
Does Plasma Fibroblast Hurt?
Being a non-surgical treatment, pain threshold should fall within the minimal to moderate range depending on client and where receiving treatment. A topical cream is applied to the area addressed for a minimum of 30 minutes to ensure proper preparation before procedure. Some equate the sensation similar to the tattoo process or an IPL session. Thorough anesthetization makes all the difference.
Why do a patch test?
Patch tests are the ultimate precursor to seeing how your skin will react to Plasma Fibroblast. Especially helpful for those who’s complexions fall within the moderate to medium scales. Patch tests consist of five to ten dots in desired treatment area. With a minimum of six weeks post application to determine client’s candidacy and healing process.
what is the pre-treatment process?
All acids and retinols should be paused in your skincare regime 30 days prior to treatment. All injectables (Botox and Fillers) should not be received any less than 30 days prior to treatment. No direct sun exposure from 14-30 days as skin tone should be closest to natural state possible.
what is the healing process?
Carbon crusts form where the application was performed. Post-treatment care is paramount for optimal healing results. Products are provided and the only topicals suggested for use until all carbon crusts have naturally fallen off. Minimal sun-exposure, water-exposure, and exertion that results in perspiration, is necessary during this time.
when will i see results?
Most will see tightening and lifting immediately following service with new collagen production starting at four weeks. Visual impact truly sets in between week six to ten, with altogether regenerative results finalizing between the three to six month mark. Treatment areas may be readdressed every three to four months.
How long do results last?
Since Plasma Fibroblast contracts the skin surface results can maintain up to four years depending on client and their personal care process. While it does not stop aging, it rewinds against previous signs and rewards with suppleness. A well-balanced lifestyle and attentive self-care can prolong one’s results.
